Paris Plays Host to ‘Taxis of the World’

We aren’t sure if it was because of the distance from the main show halls, the poor lighting, or the weird smell, but we didn’t run into very many of our fellow motoring journos  when we made our way to the Taxis of the World exhibit at this year’s Paris motor show. The harsh conditions (really, the place smelled like ashes and bleach) weren’t enough to spoil a fine collection of cabs which spanned many eras and several continents.

The vintage Fiats, Benz’s, and Checkers were all certainly interesting, but the show stopper had to be the massively ornate Jeepney from the Philippines which undoubtedly had the finest hood ornamentation in all of Paris. Have a look through the gallery above.
